soniczen

Soniczen is a hostname I, Patrick Reynolds, registered in 2001 because it sounded cool. Seven years later, and I’m now finally going to post something. I guess I have been busy with real work that I haven’t had time to make a site for myself. Either that, or I genuinely don’t have much to say. My desire is that soniczen.com will be a place for me to post samples and/or finished products of music that I create on the side, but that is not very likely to happen soon. So for now, it will be a mobile photoblog where I post how I’m killing time and all the comic relief that goes along with that.

A brief history

1997-1999

Created my first website for Nor Cal ska band, The Conspiracy.

1999-2005

I studied music and graphic communication at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo California for 6 golden years. I got a little more crazy with HTML and photoshop in my free time. While a student at Cal Poly, I started working for local web agency Web Associates on projects for Philips, Apple, HP, and BlackBerry. There was also a year in there where I worked for Interscope records doing some video encoding for the web.

2005-2008

Graduated. Got married to Kelli. Still working at Web Associates LEVEL-Studios and working with top global brands and gigging/recording with Resination.

Soniczen.com is running on Wordpress with Postie for the updated e-mail posting features. I currently write and send images using the e-mail client on my BlackBerry Curve. The theme, until I write my own, is Foxy.
